Twisty the Clown is a major antagonist of American Horror Story: Freak Show, and the main antagonist of its first four episodes. He returns as a minor fictional antagonist in American Horror Story: Cult. Twisty is a retired clown who is a serial killer and kidnapper.

Isn’t that pretty messed up? Yes, Edward is evil himself, but that’s not the image that AHS is projecting — more than anything, Edward is written as a benevolent reaper with a soft spot for a tragic tale.
